The hinges are continuous piano-type with a staked-in stainless steel pin, giving years of smooth hinge action while preventing lid removal.

Lid stays are made of thick plated steel and the rugged end handles allow heavily loaded chests to be safely moved.

Mechanics chests have sturdy, easy-to-grasp aluminium drawer pulls. One-piece, heavy-gauge steel back, bottom and top panels are securely welded to the double-wall side panels, giving solid, integral construction that evenly distributes and transfers draw loads to the chest bottom. Cylinder lock and two keys.
